Futurebuild 2026: Alive Labs at the heart of the event, featured by Reuters

This week the Alive Labs team was at Futurebuild 2026, the UK's largest construction and built-environment event, and it was a genuine highlight of our year so far. We left exhausted, energised, and grateful for everyone who stopped by the stand.
There's nothing quite like showing the work in person: long conversations with architects, contractors, developers, and sustainability leads. Questions that made us think. And moments where you could see people get why living, moss-based façades belong in the conversation about healthier cities and lower-carbon buildings. We traded stories, compared notes on pilots and procurement, and came home with a notebook full of follow-ups.
Just as rewarding was simply being there as a team, sharing shifts on the stand, debriefing over coffee, and laughing our way through the usual expo chaos. Futurebuild is a sprint, but doing it together made it feel less like a trade show and more like a shared mission.
We were also honoured to see Alive Labs included in Reuters' coverage of the show, in a segment on business and the environment. It's humbling to have that spotlight alongside so many innovators working on the future of the built world.
